Hi all, I always refuel ( both the main tank and the outboard ) while at sea via a jerry can. Inevitably some of the fuel misses its target. I normally due this via a funnel which also acts as a sieve.
Any ideas on how I can transfer my fuel less messily?

I would use a siphon - you can get a variety of in line pumps to safely start the siphon going - make sure that they are suitable for diesel.
you could still keep the funnel in place to act as a sieve and catch any drips from the pipe end
