I have a Sunrise 34 1985 in great condition. Love the yacht. But getting spares seems very difficult. The door hangar for the forward cabin sliding door has broken - a simple little nylon slider - but I cannot find one anywhere and face replacing the whol assembly. Not so bad if necessary but seem a pity to have to do.
Also, due to a slight collision, we have a cracked anchor roller platform so I will have to replace the whole assembly. Seems very difficult to find the identical part.
If anyone has suggestions, I would be most grateful.

Maybe a too expensive answer I am afraid, but one option for the nylon slider maybe 3D printing these amazing machines are now becoming commonplace as the price drops and you may find a firm in Sydney to replicate the part - admit could be expensive - but it can be made in ABS or nylon so would be strong this video gives an insight to their capabilities Maybe you could post some photos of the parts? perhaps someone will recognise a similar modern alternative If it is the whole alloy bow roller that is cracked again you might use that as a pattern for a recast, but that may not be at all cost effective - perhaps you could get one fabricated from SS - long term that might be the strongest solution - again if we had a photo or two and some overall dimensions then others might suggest a more recent model boat that has a production part that might be adapted

sscowie, Soliel is certainly in very nice condition. She motored into the Basin and moored next to us in January. Malcolm's suggestion of a new SS part is worth considering but even these get damaged with a bump. Our SS bow roller has a seal weld to the forestay chainplate which cracked when we bumped a jetty. As a result I installed a very strong eye below the roller and have braced the end of the roller back to the eye. The eye double as the brace for our gennaker pole. Regards David
