Would anyone happen to have the dimensions of the factory genoa for the 43DS - mine's a bit too far away from where I am for me easily to be able to go and measure it..
Thanks --
Dave

Thanks - I've already sent the loft a copy of the Jeanneau drawing (would you like a copy for your site?), but they've asked for a real measurement - obviously the swivel and drum take up some room.
Cheers --

Get yourself preferred a steel tape, pull it up the halyard, then measure from the top to the top of the drum, same with the bottom, top of drum level to the base of the mast, then top of the mast to the deck level, or where the foot would meet the mast.
You may also want to measure from the top of the mast to the front and back of the jib tracks, and from the drum to the front back of the jib tracks. This gives the sailmaker a few other number, measurements for where to make the clew at, such that as you roll it up, they know where the sheet line can run to. Or they might recomend an additional track or extend the current one so when the jib is furled down you have proper shape of the sail.
Also a steel tape is preferred to a fiberglass/plastic one, as the latter can stretch some and get your measurements off some.

Unfortunately I'm a three and a half hour flight away from the boat..

Dave,
Just seen this email. Do you have the info now? My original genoa is in the garage and I can measure it for you, if you still need it?
Best wishes
Julian
