Good morning to all.
Is someone in possess of the Certificate of Conformity CE for the Sun Odyssey 40 (declaration de conformite CE)? I need that to change pavillion but I do not remember I have ever received one.
Help will be most welcome.

I have a declaration of conformity in my owners manual, but it is not signed, and I believe (I am not at the boat) that is is missing the certificate number. I also have the CE conformation mark on the builders plate, located in the cockpit of the boat. If you need a piece of paper, maybe you could go to a Jeanneau dealer nearby, and they could find one for you.
Just curious - which country are you going from/to? Here in France, only the original purchaser of a new boat has to provide the certificate of conformity. When you register a used boat, or get a "passport" for a boat that does not fly the French flag, they don't ask for it.

Thanks for the answer. I am changing flag from French to Belgian because being myself italian resident in Italy, french autorities are asking for domiciliation in France to keep French flag. I am the original purchaser...ten years ago!

Wow... very interesting. I am an American, and my boat is registered(documented) in the US, because it had a US mortgage(loan), and the banks always want to be protected by their own legal systems. So, I have kept my boat under the US flag, but I pay the French "passport" tax, for which the douane asked only a check in the amount of €543/yr. I am a resident here, and they asked me whether I would be switching to a French flag, but I have tried to avoid that. It has advantages and disadvantages, but I think I want to stay a US-flag vessel.
Doesn't Belgium recognize "type approval" by France? For autos, I know there is an EU directive that if a car is registered in one country, all the others MUST accept that it meets EU standards if the owner moves to another country, and I thought that the same logic applied to boats.
I am my boat now, and looking at the specifications page, and it says "Sun Odyssey 43DS conformity to CE directive 94/25 is attested by Bureau Veritas (CE certificate no ). [There is no number in this space] You might want to look at the CE directive, and maybe call Veritas to see if they have a record of the certificate. I also have the CE mark on the builders plate for the boat, but there is no certificate number there.
Another useful bit of info...
