I'm looking to replace the heat exchanger housing on my Yanmar 4JH2.
There are minor leaks between the brass end-caps and the aluminum housing due to electrolosis or salt water corrosion (or both). Which brings to mind why no zinc anodes?
I'd like to hear from anyone who has experiance replacing one themselves and what I may need to watch out for during the removal and replacement.
I plan out my parts order in advance so I'm also interested to know what other exchanger related items should be carefully inspected and replaced beyond the obvious seals, gaskets, etc?
Any comments would be welcomed.
Thank you, Brian
