:)Hi! Since recent highlighting of seacock failure I have examined my Cathodic circuit. I have found that the seacocks in the aft cabin head are not linked to any circuit - is this OK? If not what options are available.

In my experience seacocks are not normally connected to the ground circuit. I think there could actually be a possibility that doing so could accelerate the de-zincification since they would then become bonded to the iron and steel components in the drive train and effectively become extra anodes.

There are two widely different opinions on bonding seacocks. One school of thought is to bond them all together and connect them to a zinc. The other is to isolate them (i.e., no bonding) and let them each ultimately fail individually....rather than have them all deteriorate more or less equally I suspect.
Personally, I have found the latter course to be superior. But it's very much a matter of personal choice.
Also, I recently replaced some seacocks on my 2004 vintage S.O. The ones the shipyard recently provided are far better quality than the ones that failed. I suspect the originals might have been provided by the "low cost bidder". Sure do love the quality of the rest of the boat though. What a gem!
