Hello folks I have just been to have a look at my boat that was lifted out of the water a couple of days before yesterday's hurricane force winds. She is safe and sound however this is the first time I have seen her out of the water. There are 2 anodes on the shaft labelled 25 I assume that's the size? However I was surprised that there was no other anode on the hull is this normal? One other question, in the centre line there is a half oval shaped fitting with slots in the part further back. It must be under the engine area I think. It's not an echo sounder or log fitting. Anyone any ideas what this is? Thanks

Hi, the shaft diameter is 25mm, so that is size as you already assumed. At least in my previous boat I got anode only on the shaft. In the spring I add the new one next to one old, and if those were working properly, in the autumn the old was vanished.
The half oval fitting is a scoop strainer of engine cooling.
PS. Glad to hear that the boat is safe, quite rough pictures seen from Scotland.
