Very smart indeed.
Presume with all that china and glassware that you also have fitted a couple of gyro-seakeepers? ;D

Naah, I'm more of a plastic-plate person, all the decorations in the boat are rentals for the show since the boat hasn't been commissioned yet.

ARHHHH must be a killer, after waiting all this time and then she is sitting right there and all you can do is swat the kids with their sticky fairy floss fingers before they touch the upholstery. Cheers

Fantastic! Totally love it... Now I'm sad I didn't make it to the show. Good luck and Happy Sails!

I was actually aboard her at the show. We have a 54DS and its notable how much more room there is on the 57. All seemed to be behaving themselves aboard.
Best of luck with her.

Backcaiman - thanks, perhaps our wakes will cross somewhere down south in the near future. minnewaska - I was so very close to getting a 54DS instead of the Jeanneau 57 as I like that model a lot. The pricing on the new model (with the boat show discount) made it comparable to getting a lightly used 54DS and the added attraction of not inheriting a boat with its inherent foibles and owner modifications sealed the deal. The 53 was nice, but somehow it didn't really "wow" me... plus it doesn't have that dinghy garage

I just saw that someone took a walk-through video of Zanshin at the boat show and posted it on youtube - check out for a good-quality video.

Nice video. I'm really loving the 57! She's really a super boat and a great price point given the prices of 54DS models.
