Constant anchor use is resulting in nicks and gouges on the stem of the plumb bow of our SO39i. No matter how hard I try to avoid contact. Other manufacturers fit stainless steel protection to the stem (e.g. Dufour) or supply one as an option/extra (Beneteau). Anyone obtained one from Jenneau? Other manufacturer? Fitted one? Had one custom made? Advice and photos appreciated. NornaJ

Certainly one way to go. Thank you. Meantime getting a quote on a custom steel bow plate. Will advise how it pans out. NornaJ

Another good reason for having a Manson suprem or Rocna anchor, I use the boathook to catch the loop on the anchor and that way keep it away from the bow and if there is rubbish on the anchor you can "shake" it clean, Cheers
