I've been rigging my shrouds with the cap shrouds going to the aft chain-plates. In the Tonic 23 brochure the pictured boat is rigged with the the cap shrouds going to the forward chain-plates. In searching boat pictures on the web, it looks like it's 50/50 on which way the shrouds are rigged.
Does anyone know if one way or the other is correct? Does anyone know the effects of rigging it backwards?
Another question - What is the eye strap at the masthead used for - the spinnaker or just general purpose?
Thanks, John

Hi. I used to have a Tonic (great little boat). The cap shrouds went to the front fixing and the lowers to the rear. Cheers. Eddie
