We have a SO 37 and need to refinish the cockpit seats. Need to remove the Cetol and also the old grout. Any tips?

Cetol is a real pain to remove. Time and sun and scrubbing with a scrubbie-pad will eventually do the trick, but it will look like hell for a while. Sanding is faster, but more work and you need to be careful with the gelcoat. Resist the urge to use a stiff brush - it will scrape out the soft part of the teak, leaving nasty ridges.
I have most of my teak Cetol free, and will stay with just washing it. Never again Cetol.

I'd also like some help on replacing the caulk/grout on teak any help/thoughts.

Ended up using a teak stripper and sanding. Taped off the areas first and then recoated with Cetol. Very pleased with the end result and only took about 8 hours of labour.

Thankyou ehumpal for the video connection. I need to start on our seats - fed up apologising for tramlines on folks shorts- and now have less dread of starting. But if Cetol is 'not the greatest' what name do we go for the caulking?
