I have an SO35 and an ex Sunsail boat. This came with a 300 liter stainless steel tank in the forward cabin. This tank takes up most of the space below the forward berth.
All the SO 35 specs I have seen show that normally a 160 liter rotomold (plastic?) tank is fitted.
As my steel tank has developed leaks and as I want to install a bow thruster, I need to buy a smaller tank. I am hoping that by going to the original 160 liter tank that the SO 35 normally comes with I will have enough room to fit the thruster while still having a practical supply of fresh water for cruising. Can anyone here please give me the dimensions of the 160 Liter tank normally fitted in the SO35 forward cabin?
With these dimensions I can then calculate if I will have enough space for my project or decide if I need to have an other steel tank fabricated.
Any information regarding who manufactures the 160 Liter rotomold tank or where I can purchase one will be most welcome.
Thanks for any help, happy sailing , Ron

Hi Ron I would suggest you first ensure the correct location for the Bow-thruster then see what is left over for the water tank Tek-Tanks offer 10% off for Jeanneau Owners - more info on their custom tanks at: www.tek-tanks.com/boats/custom-boat-tanks/waste-and-grey-water-tanks/I have not used them personally, but they do have a good reputation in the UK Malcolm
