For what it's worth, my SO35 with a full keel takes about 11 liters of anti-fouling which includes 2 coats.

It depends a lot on the type of paint you use. Estimate the area to be covered or get it from Jeanneau (or maybe someone on this forum knows the area for your boat). Then read the directions for your paint; they should include coverage. Many paint manufacturers are willing to talk to you about application, and may be able to help you estimate better.
I've used about 5 quarts of VC17M (a fresh water paint) per coat on my SO35.

One good coat for my 40 feet takes about 5 liters.

Ian,
My SO37 with the standard keel takes 12 litres for a two coat spray job applied by professionals.
You tend to put on less paint with brushing than with roller coating and with roller coating the nap of the roller will dictate how heavy the antifouling is applied.
Whatever way you are going to do it, one coat of two, measure out the area roughly and spread the antifouling so that you get an even thickness using all the paint you have allowed.

It likely depends where you sail and how thick or heavy you apply the anti-fouling but using VC17 I consumed just 2 litres of paint using a roller and only re-apply every two years. But we are sailing on Georgian Bay in the Lake Huron area so the water is reasonably cold obviously compared to the Caribbean. Hope this is helpful and not confusing. Liberte' SO 37

gre2, Your anti fouling frugality will be the envy of the fleet. The manufacturer recommends 2 to 3 coats. www.yachtpaint.com/MPYACMDatasheets/VC_17m_Extra_with_Biolux+eng-usa+A4+Y+20100608.pdfThe other thing with VC 17 m is that the surface is sanded back to 320 grit so generally the surface to be painted is in excellent condition which helps to keep the usage down. I have tried a season with just one coat, in my case 6 litres but no matter what we do nine months later in the warm 19 degrees C of Sydney Harbour the growth is back. Two litres every second year would be anti fouling heaven here. Regards David
