Does anyone know what the phrase "Prisma injection process" means in regard to the deck construction on our SO 35 (2003). Is there a core such as balsa or plywood, or is it a solid "plastic" structure that I can drill into with impunity, not worrying about letting moisture into the core and causing rot. I am an ex-C&C owner and that was a major problem with that manufacturer.

Take a look at what the section of my 2006 SO35 looks like. I think the injection process creates the ribs that separate core areas. Wetting of one area won't propagate. I'd still fill holes with epoxy! img32.imageshack.us/img32/9660/july2509006.jpg

The stuff between the inner and outer layers is foam??? Hard to tell for sure from the picture, doesn't look like balsa.

Yes - Foam. Definitely not balsa. Fairly small cell size and brittle - you can sand it with your finger.
