Anyone have a 42I performance model?
Our commissioning rigger has filled all available clutches with other lines and there doesn't seem to be any allocation for traveler lines... no cam cleats (as I would expect).
One of two possibilities I guess. 1) The rigger has run some lines through clutches that were meant to go elsewhere, thereby filling clutches intended for the traveler with something else. 2) The factory forgot to allow for traveler lines (unlikely).
If you have a 42IP where do your traveler lines run?

While I obviously from other posts do not have a 42IP, BUT, it would not surprise me that the factory does not have enough clutches for ALL the lines one might want on there boat. IIRC I had 5 clutches on my boat that were stock when I bought here used, I now have 15 or so to cover all the lines I have coming from the mast etc back to the cabin top. Along with, my traveler is in the cockpit, vs cabin top like you have, so that would be another two clutch's or equal for those lines, along with the macro/micro 4/16-1 sheet lines.

Mystery mostly solved. It turns out that the rigger ran the asym tack line and a halyard that we added for an inner forestay through clutches, effectively borrowing the clutches that are intended for the traveler.
I think we'll use some added cam cleats for the traveler lines.

I have one season old 42i performance.
In my setup, the inermost clutches on both sides are used for the traveller. I would not recommend cam cleats, there is quite a lot of tension in the traveller line and at least I have used the coachroof winches when there is anything more than a moderate breeze (say over 15-20 knots of wind). I have similar issue with having no clutch for the inner forestay halyard (that was added afterwards), just thought of adding one before next season.
