The main hatch on our So 29.2 stuck during the week for the fisrt time since owning it in 3 years. The hatch is the standard plexiglass unit and is retained under the timber runners, between the cockpit GRP moulding. After a couple of tugs it was stuck fast so I left it and continued with the day. After a couple of hours I went to close it and it ran smoothly as normal! Is this common and what could be causing it? The temperature was warm (for West Cork) at around 22deg C. I cleaned the area (around the runners) a month ago in the boat yard and there is some green growth locally to the runners, I couldn't make out if the hatch was sticking widthways or in some other direction

David
I would suspect direct sunlight may have raised the temperature even more than the air temperature
We had this just once on our 34.2
I swear by Harken MCLube - its expensive but shouldn't damage things and may help
