Can someone let me know the name of the manufacturer (and size if possible) of the anchor windlass that is supplied with the 42I?
Also - I've scoured the Jeanneau website and google with no luck so far, is there a copy of the 42I owner manual online? Does someone have an electronic copy they could email to me?
Thanks!
(info will help me to pass the stressful months while we await the arrival of our new boat)

The winch will most likely be a Lofrans or Lewmar windlass, which is what is usually delivered ex-factory.

Just confirming that my new 42DS also has a Quick Antares vertical windlass. Hot water tank is also a Quick product so Jeanneau probably have a contract with them.
Only used the windlass a few times so far and it seems fine. Only complaint is that the manual winch handle is dreadful. Seems to be completely untreated alloy & must be poor quality as it is covered in white powder (corrosion). I cleaned it up and it was ecactly the same again in a few weeks (no surprise).

Dump it and buy a polymeric one , they're not that expensive.

Agreed, I intend to replace the winch handle for the windlass.
Just alerting to fact that one that came with my Quick Antares was only worth throwing away.
Surprised that original item was so poor, never seen a winch handle like that. Can't have saved Quick much money but I suppose it is all extra profit.

i have a 2010 42 ds. it has the quick Aleph AL1012 vertical windlass. I have 70' of 3/8 chain and 200' of 5/8" 3 strand nylon rode. I am having trouble with the rode. the windlass will not pull the rode in unless it is under load. It pull the rode out either. I have to pull it through the windlass.
has anyone had this problem and found a solution?

I have a 42DS with a Quick Antares vertical windlass. You can buy a conversion kit that sits on top of the existing windlass. The model # in the USA is FVSSTP1AT000A00 & costs $500.83. I have not purchased this yet (budget), but I intend to.
