Can anyone let me know what the correct berth conversion is for a Sun Odyssey 34.2. Once the legs have been removed from the table is the conversion meant to have a couple of short legs. Have used without but berth has habit of collapsing.

Hi, On my 34.2 (1999) ther are 3 slats on under side of table that locate on the ends of the sliding seat (2)and the other that locates on the inside edge of the settee. You must make sure they are located correctly. Of course the table fits underneath the cushions and then the cushion infill goes on top. There are no legs that go underneath the table when used for a bed. Hope this Helps, Cheers Makemyday

I haven't had the need to use the extra berth , but that might change this summer , would that same system also apply on a 40 DS ?
So far I have not made the conversion yet , but to me it seems very strange , and I would immagin using two short legs to fix the table in the proper possition. The thing is , there are no extra short legs available , that means the table is suppose to rest on the U shaped lounge ? Doesn't look like a safe and stable situation ?

Thanks for the feedback, I have used the lugs to locate the table in place, but the whole system is very insecure and can easily collapse. I also have had to attach a securing strap to the infill cushion which ties around the table top to to stop it flying off. Overall a pretty awful design. Will now work on some mods to make the system better and will post the outcome.

Ensure that you do not have the tabletop placed backwards. In my experience, this causes the instability noted. This is probably the only weekend this month that I'm not at the boat doing spring launch prep, so I can't verify the correct orientation until next weekend.
