I'm off to the big boating convention in Duesseldorf this weekend and am going to have some discussions with companies there regarding converting my standard standing rigging to a much lighter and stronger fiber called "Dyneema Dux". I neglected to bring my handbook from the boat and would be happy if anyone with the information to post the standing rigging details - how many meters/feet of what thickness stainless steel wiring supports the big-stick-in-the-middle-of-the-boat so that they can calculate what thickness and lengths of Dyneema are required. I'll post the results on a thread here in case anyone else is toying with going high-tech.

I can not get the SO49DS to load from the main Jeanneau site. As many times they have OM's online to down load, which might give you the info you need. Try there and see if the www.jeanneau.fr or equal site will load up the 49ds info. marty

None of the sites I've looked at, including Jeanneau, have that information available; I've only seen it in the owner's manual which is not available electronically anywhere (at least not until I take pictures and figure out how to use OCR software!)

I figured the Jeanneau site might be wort a try. As they have owner's manuals down loadable for a number of older models, including my 85 Arcadia. I can not seem to get a 49ds page/info to load, to see if they have the OM listed. Hopefully a 49DS owner will respond.
Good luck, let us know how it comes out with manufactures comments.
