My 2020 Merry Fisher 8.95 has the upper sections of the cockpit canopy secured to the glass section of the saloon structure by means of plastic snap fasteners, the post section of which is stuck onto the glass. Some of the fastenings have structurally failed and some have just let go of the glass. Can anyone identify the make of plastic post and socket fastenings used? Secondly , what brand of glue is used to fix the item onto the glass? Yet again I am disappointed that a four year old component has failed on this Jeanneau boat. Personally I prefer s/s Tenax fasteners - the sprung loaded cup puts no load onto the post when attaching the cover. Once fixed , the load is mostly sideways, rather than the upwards yanking associated with standard push buttons.
