Why would you want to paint your bronze prop with galvanizing compound? To keep the brass prop clean. I took apart last year and soaked in vinegar. This year, I read that toilet cleaner works well.

Why not use a typical prop treatment like propspeed or prop-one? My flex-o-fold:

Why not use a typical prop treatment like propspeed or prop-one? My flex-o-fold: Propspeed is just incredibly expensive.

The issue with using ANY old bottom paint on your prop, is that the cuprous oxide used as a main ingredient, can harm the SS/Bronze components used. Hence one should use a paint that will not cause corrosion with in the metal components.
Propspeed while expensive, is one of the better products one can use. Interlux has a spray on Trilux 33 that works reasonably well. Propspeed is better.
Something to think about if you really want to put a $3-6K foldable/feathering prop with the wrong paint, that can damage it beyond repair.

I've used it for many years on my last prop which was made of nibral and there weren't any issues. It doesn't really do a whole lot in regards to anti fouling. It's the same thing as Petit Barnacle Barrier. Having someone dive on the boat once every few weeks to keep the bottom clean is the best antifouling I have found that actually works as advertised.
