Hello gals & guys ,
I,m looking to install a small freezer on my 39i . The idea is just to make ice and keep ice bags inside .
I have been searching portable 12v freezer in Dometic and Frigoboat, but can’t find a small one that fits inside the navigation table seat. mostly the problem is , can not be more than 38cm tall .
Any ideas ?
thxs .

It seems to be a lot of trouble just for ice. I picked up a small portable ice maker this summer, and we made ice on demand rather than storing it. Just turn the ice maker on 30 min before cocktail hour, and it will be good to go. Once we had consumed food out our freezer, we filled the space with ziploc bags of excess ice.

Which ice maker did you buy?

Also in favor of the portable ice maker. My unit fits under the settee when not used.

I bought a Bougrv www.bougerv.com/products/crpro30-mini-fridge-for-car. I got it on sale for well under $300. You'd need to check the measurements and the size of the compartment. It works great and doesn't draw too..... much. It is digitally controlled so you set the temp you want and it holds it. Ice cream stayed really hard!! I don't have a picture, but I have a 49DS and put it under the chart table seat. I added a 12volt outlet (cigarette style) in the compartment. I have been leaving a block between the seat top and the compartment to allow for heat to exit. I plan to put a couple more big vent holes in the compartment before next season so I don't have to leave it open. Sorry I don't have a picture, but it works great! You can adjust it for fridge or freezer temps. I used it without issues for about 90 days this season!!
