As a new owner of an SO40 I am missing the holes in the toe rail that I have had on previous boats. I really don't understand why a builder would put on aluminum toe rails with out the ventilation holes. I am not yet ready to drill holes where I want them. Seems like Jeanneau or the toe rail manufacturer could have made some kind of clip to fit on these for some light duty uses like attaching fenders, a side step or the like.
I suppose I could fab something up but there must be something already made that would work. Has anyone else found a solution.

Agree, I miss mine too. Wichard has Toerail padeye parts 16613, 16614, 16615 they may do what you want, just remember the toerail is only screwed on not bolted thru so don't use them for heavy loads like spinnaker stuff. Cheers
