Hello I've got a second hand SO 32. The lift keel is so heavy that the seller had been using a self-made tackle. Did somebody experience a hard to lift keel on SO 32? If yes, how did you deal with it? Thanks

Hi ylare,
There is 1 SO32 with lift keel in our club, just went sailing with them last weekend. The owner is around mid 60's and he is finding lifting the keel a bit of a job, he was talking about fitting a small winch around where the keel-rope exit's the table, something like what you would use on a trailer, that way the rope would be on a spool.
Cheers

Thank you flightdeck. Then I am not alone. My vendor was also mid 60's, and I suppose he was not moving the keel very often. I had before a SO 26, the keel was heavy, but with some momentum, it came rather easily. On SO 32, I ca'nt move it without the tackle!
