Hi all I’m considering upgrading my tender to one weighing about 180kg (jockey console style). This means 2 things:
1. I need better davits - am considering the Simpson electric davits, and then transom reinforcing for the davits and tender. Has anyone done this? And could help with photos etc 2. It means I can’t put the tender on the coachroof when Med stern mooring. So I need to put the passerelle across the tender when in marina. Does anyone do this? All tips/photos gratefully received! Thank you

Hello, I am in the process of doing this same installation on my SO469 and have been working with Keith Oliver at Kato Marine (LINK: www.katomarine.com/saildavits-voyager.htm ). I choose his Voyeger davits due to the weight of my dinghy but am also reinforcing my transom by adding a layer of G10 glassed into the transom. This is not cheap but being that our dinghy weighes 600lbs (270 kilos) we had to make sure the weight was handled approprietely.
