I am considering a full batten furling mainsail on a SPARCFAFT 560E mast in order to increase the surface area compared to short batten or no batten at all, and to keep the sail flatter when partially rolled in. Has anyone some experience of such a sail?

Yep, full batten furling mainsail in North 3Di here.

The performance from the increased surface is very noticeable.

I can see it more prone to a jam compared to a sail without battens though.

Knock on wood... no jams, no problems thus far.
