Any 1095 owners on here find a way to keep the water from escaping into the rest of the head? Maybe only showering at 9-14 knots to keep the water heading to the drain sump. Thanks

Hi West
I have an 895 so probably can’t help. But I’m wondering what you mean in your comment. The floor tray in my 895 sometimes collects a 1/4” of water on the end opposite the drain depending upon how my boat is loaded. Several swishes by one’s foot moves the water to the drain. I installed plastic picture type hooks around the middle area and then hang a shower curtain to contain the spray while showering. But if I remember correctly the 1095 has a separate shower stall so not a problem for you.

In my SO35, the head is divided into two parts, the toilet/shower and the sink area. There is a door between them that helps keep the water from the shower on the right side. But the problem is that the floor in the shower portion is raised compared to the sink area. Water can easily escape under the door to the lower compartment, away from the drain.
I suspect this is westboating's problem. We don't use the shower, so it's not a problem. We have a stern shower and showers on land at the marina.

On our 35 we don’t even close the shower door , and look upon escaped water as an opportunity to sloosh out the whole area.

We just bought a 1095, we have had a Sun Odysey sailboat for 10 years, we realized that the manufacturer Jeanneau was between what is a sailboat bathroom and what is a bathroom for a motor boat. We solved the problem by raising the 1/2 inch drain hole to a 1 inch hole and 1 inch hose with a 16-20 liter whale gray waste tank box. The pump is left on and when the whale box is filled it automatically starts the bath on its own when the box is empty the circuit turns off automatically

You should have a Whale Gulper 320 pump which is activated by a switch inside the shower compartment. It faces aft so you won't see it unless you are in the shower. The pump is under the steps. The pump diaphragm and inline valve went bad on mine so it wouldn't pump properly. The service kit to replace the diaphragm was readily available online and fixed the problem I had.
