Hello, Hello, I own a SO 45.2 from 2001 and in the Cockpit there seems to be some modification made which were not expected when manufactured. Now I am looking for a original description or picture to check what happened. Could anybody with same "ventilation system" provide a picture from inner hull side? Thanks for help Tom P.S.: Please check the pictures from our boat.

So many of the boat classification rules specify how long it may take for a cockpit fully filled with water to drain. This modification means that if the cockpit should fill with a big wave the boat may sink rather than drain...
I can only think of additional ventilation for the engine. Is there a corresponding vent/opening around the engine compartment?

Was there a speaker for the sound system located there?

No speaker etc. mounted.
Yes, the ventilation maybe there for the motor - there are some tubes ending down below but sure they were never connected to those holes.
I guess a kind of "camin" upside to allow getting air possible from machine

Kamin = Chimney for the others. Perhaps it was thought to be simple ventilation, but that picture on the inside looks like there was a PVC tube in there too. I'd just put a speaker in there to plug the hole

Ok, it seems to me that someone had cut the connection to the motor ventilation.
Not sure how it was mounted originally but the connection element seems to be destroyed on my boat :-(

I have a '98 45.2 and those have ducts from the engine room ventilation fan. Only comes on when things get too hot down there.

I got feedback from Jeanneau. The original part is shown on foto 1 and that is installed under the white cap. To that the ventilation tube is connected normally. Mine looks like foto 2 from inner the cap. I ordered 2 new connectors Thanks for help here
