On my 1095, the holding tank is filling up without using the toilet. I have the through hull valve open, so my only guess is the through hull valve is leaking. I would have thought the macerator would have a back flow valve which would prevent water coming back from the through hill fitting. So I can’t figure out any other reasons the holding tank is filling up. There is no water in the hull, the toilet works fine, and the holding tank empties in about 3-4 minutes of pumping. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

There is an inline back flow valve between the macerator and the thru-hull but it should not be relied upon to prevent the boat from taking on water. If the thru-hull is left open for an extended time, the tank will fill up to the waterline of the boat, which I believe is above the top of the tank…meaning you will have wastewater pushing thru the tank top and vent.
