New member, just signed up. We live in Hamble, UK and been sailing club 409's and 410's for a few years. Recently chartered a 519 (too big for UK marinas) and now looking to make the leap into ownership.
A 41 DS would fit the bill but there are very few around at the moment and even that one seems a bit overpriced. Id like to say hi to a couple of UK members I see own them to ask opinions etc but messages can be composed but don't seem to be sent or appear in my outbox.
If you're around, interested to hear from IanB, China Girl and Heatherina (and any other UK 41 DS owners).
Are new users blocked from PMs for a period?

Hi sherehopper,
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search. is a 41 DS the same as a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410?
I boat in the same area as you and saw the above sailing down the Hamble river from the direction of Premier Marina.

If you don't find a 41ds why not consider a 43ds. Better built, real wood finish inside and without those long forward windows to the saloon which makes the 41ds & 45ds type designs a terrible greenhouse in the summer. Some have the v flexible configuration of 2, 3, or 4 double cabins. Mine is not for sale but there is a passionate following of the 43ds. We even have our own model-specific section on this website.
