Dear captains, On my MF7950 (2016, Yamaha F200) I find that steering is far to heavy while cruising when turning to the right. It is very easy to turn left. I understand that single outboard will do that anyway but it feels far to heavy and I never felt so much difference between turning to the right and left. I tried to adjust a steering anode with almost no effect. Steering is light and easy when stationary and on low speed. What I noticed that that the prop I bought the boat with is Solas Probex 14 1/2 - 15 is as new but has pretty blunt and thick blade edges compared to Raliance prop. Can it effect the steering that way? Maybe you have any other ideas on how to improve steering if there is anything can be done at all.
Many thanks, Denis

Hopefully, this will be useful for some of you. So, besides heavy steering while cruising and especially turning right, it was an internal leak in the help pump. I thought I will try to upgrade the whole steering system from LS 26HB + EX200 (max 200hp, 4.9 turns) what came from the factory to LS 30HB + EX3500 (up to 350hp, 6.5 turns). After upgrade, all issues with strange steering behavior disappeared. Now it's real pleasure to steer Steering is so much lighter, the difference between turning to right and left is not that noticeable and it's much more precise. Surprisingly, the difference between 4.9 and 6.5 turns from and to end doesn't make any major difference while docking as sell. Thus, is some of you experience similar issues, you may consider to upgrade your steering system. You can do it yourself as the installation kit comes with all the fittings and hoses you need. Regards, Den is
