Hi, Does anyone know what brand/type of 3-blade fixed prop. is fitted standard to the Jeanneau 36i. The parts list on the web shows this as a ( 3-BLADED PROP.17X13 RH25 51% ZF CL8 YANMAR 3YM30 21KW( 29CV)D ), but this doesn't help in finding a replacement anode particularly in Australia. I would like to order a part to then dive and replace the anode. The real question is where to source an anode to suit, preferably in Australia but over the web otherwise. Our prop and anode look like... Geoff.

Hi Geoff Most likely it will be a Radice You will need to know that prop shaft dia These are commonly referred to as "Beneteau" type anodes -see www.reliancemarine.com/category/3/Boat-Maintenance/view.aspxYour Jeanneau dealer should have them in stock and will also confirm your shaft size That looks a massive prop - why not go with a folding /feathering prop ?? and if you want to eliminate anode problems fit an IonGuard in water replaceable OK I do have an interest as I designed them but they really work well, had ours on the 39i for past 2 seasons and the prototype worked really well also on our previous 34.2 For unbiased review see: www.marine-innovation.com/id14.htmMalcolm

Hi Malcolm, Thank you for the details on the prop. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the reliance marine link to work, but I found a place in Australia that casts "Beneteau" cone anodes which look like what we need. Our propshaft is 25mm. If anyone else in Australia is trying to source something like this... www.cathodicdiecasting.com.au/znbeneteaualloy.htmRE: The massive prop. That is just what the boat came with new. We didn't want to change anything on the new boat until we worked out what was most important to us. For the mostly short weekend sailing cruises we do at the moment we don't see a great need to change the prop. In a couple of years we will probably change to a feathering prop. The Kiwi props looks to be an interesting alternative. Thanks again for your help, Geoff.
