Hi everyone, on a 2013 SO41DS, SD50. Is there supposed to be a rubber outer seal or fairing that covers the hole in the hull the saildrive is mounted to. Im not talking about the inner bladder seal that determines if you sink or not, its the outer seal or fairing that covers the hole and smoothes it all out. Not sure if im explaining it right. Anyway, lmk what ya think!

You mean something like this (also a SD50)?

That is exactly what I am looking for. Is that a dealer only item or is it available aftermarket? Many thanks in advance!

Jeanneau had them as a listed part which, in my case, they shipped me directly from their Carolina facility. I assume you should be able to get the same service directly from France { dreamer?}. In my case, a 2012 SO 379, the original cover plate was affixed with 5200 at the factory - requiring breaking it to remove it. Equally dumb, the replacement part is an unbroken donut, requiring you to saw through one fore/aft connection to install it. I reinstalled with sealant - no glue - and 6 small panhead screws - I have since removed and reattached it 6 times over 11 years {to remove mussel growth} with no problems. The worst case scenario, if Jeanneau does not respond, is to have a local fiberglass fabricator build you one, probably over a male mold. Save the mold and offer it to fellow owners over this link.
