Hi fellow Jeanneau owners! I have noticed a small leak in the compartment where the draining pump for shower and windscreen washer reservoir is located (see attached pictures). I have spent a considerable amount of time investigating but can't figure out where it is coming from.
I tasted it on the tip of my tongue and it seems to be fresh water and not seawater. It leaks even though it haven't rained in a week so it is coming from somewhere inside of the boat. If I dry it out it does not take long before a new droplet seeps through where the plywood is glued to the floor with adhesive so it seems the water is entering from somewhere else. There is no leak from the draining pump or the connected hoses that I could find, and neither from the windscreen washer reservoir. I also checked beneath the water tank in the other compartment but that one is dry, as well as the draining holes on both sides in both compartments. Oh, and I also checked the compartment before, where the bow thruster is, but that one is also dry.
Any tips for where to check next is greatly appreciated.

Munin,
Sounds like it could be the water pressure relief valve. See thread “NC and Merry Fisher Dry Hulls”. I’ve replaced the valve twice and they all still leak an bit under pressure when the pump is turned on. I’ve been wanting to find a different valve to use but haven’t yet researched it. Or perhaps my water pump is putting out too high a pressure. I haven’t measured it. But it’s apparently not adjustable for pressure.

Thanks for the tip lynnardm! It was not the valve in my case. I put a cup at then end of the hose just to make sure the water was not coming from the heater. But even though it wasn't what was wrong, you made me think of something. When I drained the heater before winter I had a hard time getting all the water out so I just left the valve open. That of course led to some water in the bilge during winter storage. I dried it out when the boat went in the water again mid April. My theory is that some of the water has been trapped somewhere and has been slowly leaking back into the bilge. The reasoning behind this is that every time I went back to the boat these few days the amount of water in the bilge has been less and less. Today there was nothing! If my theory is correct it should stay that way. Fingers crossed!
