Hello everyone,
My name is Stu and I have just bought a 22 model Merry Fisher 895 Offshore.
Previously I had a MF725 for nearly 5 years but wanting to go away for weekends it was a bit small for 3 of us. I did a lot of work to it over the years modernising upgrading the electronics & trim and like to get stuck in and learn to do things for myself.
The new boat has a decent spec with 200 Yamaha engines, most optional extras and even a 12 inch screen which is nice. It has bow & stern thrusters, Zipwake system and in a few weeks time it is having DES steering and the Helm master EX joystick/auto pilot controls.
It has only just been delivered so currently on a maintenance stand. I have a Simarine battery/system monitoring unit I didn't end up fitting on the last boat that I will install and looking to ceramic coat it with GTechniq marine product.
I look forward to chatting with you all.

Hi Stuwright and all the Jeanneau Family,
My wife and I just purchased a 2023 Jeanneau NC 895 Weekender. New out of the gate and patiently waiting for delivery.
This is our retirement gift to ourselves and we checked every box on the option cut sheet (well almost every).
I am excited to join the Jeanneau family.
For many years, I've had a 24ft fishing boat off Dana Point CA. My agreement with the wife is the NC-895 isn't going to be bloody and smelling like bait all the time. With a smile I agreed. I opted for the roof rack for my fishing kayak ;-)
Best always, Mike

There is also a wealth of timeless information in the archives worth browsing while you wait on delivery.
We all look forward to hearing about your adventures.

I wanted one as soon as I went on one 5 years ago and still really happy with the choice. No boat is perfect but this is close enough for us. I look forward to reading your posts. Regards Stu

Hi Stu,
Welcome and congrats on the MF895 Offshore. Great specs. Mine is a 2020 and has also 2x200 Yamaha GETX, and some DIY for electric/electronics. Still have a brand new Garmin radome in the garage for more than a year (ouch). Enjoy the forum!
