Hi,
I’ve been wondering about this question, but don’t have the 379 manual with me and am not on my boat so thought I’d ask the wisdom of the forum.
I have the factory installed windlass. The battery is installed in the port side ‘garage’ cupboard (2 cabin model). Is the battery usually wired to the windlass only, or is it wired in a way that makes it combined with the 2 domestic batteries? I usually leave the windlass isolated, but am wondering whether I could use it as part of the domestic power bank.
I realise the windlass battery would usually be a ‘starter’ type battery, but all my batteries are dual purpose so I feel like the windlass battery could be put to use as a domestic if wiring permits (obviously not when I’m at anchor though)
Thx Paul

Hi Paul,
I previously owned a new 2015 379 SO, 2 cabin version, and seem to remember that the windless was wired to the house bank, as was the electric cabin-top winch. The factory delivers the boat with a dedicated start battery, and 2 house batteries unless you opt for upgrading the house bank to 4 batteries. I really really enjoyed my 379!
