Hi J-owners,
Has anyone a clue about where I can find the dimension of the original sails of my boat (SO DS 50) ?

Do you mean the dimensions of the actual sails that came with your boat? The only way to know that for sure is to measure them. The sails would have been contracted out to a sailmaker, and they would have made their own decisions on exact measurements.
If you mean general sail dimensions you can use rig measurements found on sites such as sailboatdata.com. Sailmakers all have access to rig dimension databases.
If you are planning to order new sails it is always a good idea to actually measure your own rig in case it is different from the numbers listed in databases.

I contacted Gilles Rigaux at Jenneau USA (grigaux@jeanneauamerica.com) and gave him my hull number, year and boat (SO42DS) and they sent me the factory dimensional drawings in a PDF format. They are guidelines only and should be measured by you or your sailmaker to confirm.

See here the sizes as measured by my sailmaker when replacing my 50DS sails (note I have in-mast furling).
