Has anyone installed a Raymarine S1 Autopilot on a 32 Sun Oddyssey. The manual says the preferred location for the autopilot is right lower side of the wheel. Mine does not seem to center when I try to put the motor on the lower right side. If I put on the upper left side of the wheel I am afraid it might effect the pedestal mounted compass. Any comments will be appreciated.

Hello, yes I've done this, and installed the drive on the left. It knocks the compass for six, but I think is the only way that it will fit, and I use the heading from the fluxgate or the GPS plotter anyway. I'm afraid that there isn't any way round this.
Is the S1 the same as the SPX5, with a control head and a separate box of electronics which has to be mounted inside the boat? I recently had to upgrade my ST4000 to an SPX5 due to failure of the ST4000 in the week before our summer cruise, and mounted the electronics in the space in the stern next to the rudder quadrant. This seemed to be the best place for wiring and access - take out the recessed bookshelf for access.
My fluxgate compass is below the chart table - seemed a better location than the locker in the aft cabin which is where a lot of the dealers fit them.
