Not sure if I'm the only one with this "problem" but filling the freshwater tank on our NC895 is such a slow process unless I manually sit there and hold the hose in place. I got to play around in the workshop last week and came up with this... it's made of rubber and allows me to quickly fill the tank without risking pressurizing the system once it's full. I had a couple people reach out to me to make them one so I made a handfull and posted them here if anyone else needs one: www.etsy.com/listing/1303224104/jeanneau-water-fill-adapter-rutgerson Cheers!

Congratulations, a neat solution .
My remedy for the same issue was to attach a foot of flexi butane gas pipe onto a hose tail with garden hose quick connect fitting to join onto my hose pipe, the gas pipe jams into the deck fill point and allows air out whilst filling , but not allowing the hose to escape and rinse the deck.
Yours looks much more engineered, and having a valve at the delivery end is something I may add to my gas hose.

My solution is like CB's but I have a shutoff in-line. The design has been popular here at my marina. I think two or three nearby boaters have followed suit.

The valve came with the hose, it's one of those expanding hoses that needs the back-pressure to expand... I had tried something similar but the hose kept pulling itself out due to the shrinking nature of the main hose itself.

Buy the cheapest garden hose you can find and cut off the last 8-10” off. Connect it to the end of your long hose and stick it into the filler. Works great and costs almost nothing.

Giancarlo, I bought one of these and am very happy with it. I also bought (for $3) an on/off valve, to which I screwed your adapter, and my water filter in line with the hose from the dock. I found that when I went to twist it into the deck fitting, the threads between the on/off valve and your fitting turned instead, and your fitting became cross threaded and loose (probably because of the cut in it allowing the pressure to escape when the tank is full). I solved that by supergluing the adapter and the on/off valve together. Now they're a single unit and it goes into the deck fitting perfectly.
A great product and under $20 including shipping!

Go to your local hardware store. Buy the cheapest garden hose you can find. Cut off 2 foot. Connect it to your hose from the dock and stick the bitter end into the fill point. It will sit there and hold itself in place no matter how hard you are filling. Now a suggestion, get a KDF in line filter and put it in line before your new filling adapter. Run the water slow to let the filter work efficiently. That will give you a high quality fill with reduced personal effort.

Yes, that's what I did. One improvement was to fit a filter but only because water in Greece has a lot of sediment after heavy rain. I used to remove a cupful or more from each tank at the end of the season.
I was lucky to find a guy in Scotland selling water filters for about £20 with 2-3 spares. I've seen them in marine stores in Greece for about £50-£60. A real bargain but think the guy in Scotland also bumped up his price. Really lucky find.
I fitted a short piece of hose to the filter outlet and a normal hose connector to the inlet. Just a matter of tying the filter assembly to the safety lines, popping the hose into the filler (it slides to one side of the metal plate inside), connecting the water and turning it on.

A very nice item ……. but as you say, not an inexpensive item, €49 is a bit too much to me for this , but some wealthy boat owners will go for it, I might do as well when the lottery is kind.

These look good but I’d prefer not to buy 50 of them. 😁

I open the hatch and take the hose below and fill directly into the tank. Easier to monitor how full the tank is. Costs nothing...

Rutgerson water deck filler- hose pipe adaptor. Has anyone located a UK source for the hose adaptor?
nb The factory site says that the previous flanged version ( used on the 895) has been replaced by threaded version where the adaptor has a threaded outside.

Thanks for the 3D file. However, there is a little chain attached to the cap, so this hose adaptor can't be installed.

Mine is a lesser model, no chain, but with humble string attaching the lid …….. but an aspect of the design and use - very valid - that I hadn’t even considered, might stick with my gas pipe filler a while longer, not prepared to risk a loose deck cap, it’s bound to visit Davy Jones if not attached.
