Hi, my husband was in the middle of trying to stop a leaking shower in the head of our SO 36. Unfortunately he died suddenly and my boatyard is trying to complete the project. But we can't find parts that will fit. The boat is in the U.S., Ohio. Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

Dear Sea Horse,
I am so sorry to hear about your husband, it is a sad and distressing time for you. Words cannot express.
Without knowing exactly which parts you require, it is hard to be specific about where to obtain them. However generally the parts are not specific Jeanneau items, but are usually available from ships chandlers where you or your husband will have bought other typical yacht fittings. In addition, the compact plumbing fittings often used on a boat, if not available from a normal plumbing supply outlet, are often the same fittings as those used in RV trailers/caravans, so RV parts supply outlets are also often good sources for replacement parts.
Unfortunately searching these places takes time and is not often required of yard shipwrights, who will however be able to fit the parts if you can find them. If you are used to being involved in these projects you might well be able to do it yourself, otherwise do you have friends in the sailing community (or RV community), who might be able to help you find suitable parts, which would help the yard complete the job without excessive labour costs?
If you can take some photos of the relevant area, other forum members might also be able help identify what you need.
Please keep in touch with the forum and let us know how you go or if you need more suggestions.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply. The missing part is the Jada ceramic diverter. Jada went out of business in 2013, but my boatyard finally found a replacement sourceā¦I just have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. In the meantime, the yard cut a hole above the head and capped the shower faucet so I can at least use the other sinks, etc. Now on to the next problem, oops, I mean, learning opportunity.
