After being out for a bit and plugging back in I noticed a fan running under the aft cabin port seat. Upon inspection I realized it was the installed charger (I have an inverter / charger under the galley sink). I also notice it was very warm. Has anyone addressed this issue? Is it worth addressing? I imagine that the heat would eventually cause issues with the charger.

The Cristec chargers get pretty warm, particularly when running a bulk load on a depleted battery bank. My Victron heats up as well, I even added a second fan to augment the airflow from the builtin fans. Both manufacturers have heat safeties in place to cut off the charging when necessary.

Be careful…. I had the same, then later noticed an acrid smell, which was traced to a boiling battery. This battery was found to be on end-of-life.. But yes, it could just get hot on Bulk Charge and then calm down, so keep an eye on it.
We later installed new charger and monitor, as I suspect we abused the batteries into a short lifespan :-(

My charger was hot too. I installed a muffin fan in the (empty) grill an wired it to the little cooling fan in the charger. It seems to work quite well. I did the same thing with the space under the stove and wired that fan into the fan that blows on the compressor. Both fans bring cooler air into a cavity that doesn't exchange air at all.

You sound like a smart guy, Sailork. I too have fans for the freezer. Unfortunately the Cristic no longer works so I have removed it and now have another storage space.
