Hello all,
Im currently facing a problem regarding the deck lights. When I turn the deck lights on , I get light to the back of the boat , I get light to the top of the sail , but at the nose nothing. I checked the lamp it was allright ( even connected it to a 12v battery and was ok ). Last season everything was working great. My question is : does those lights have fuse independently from each other ? ( back/top/nose lights). If yes can someone tell me where is the fuse box located, I tried to find it but couldn't.
Thank you all in advance.

Hello bandicoot and welcome to the forum. Certainly in the SO 36i the fuses are behind the switch panel but I think your vessel maybe a little older than that.
Does that mean your nav lights don’t work unless you turn on your deck light switch?

Sorry just reread the post….. it would be very unusual if those lights are separately fused. I would look for the common point of distribution and work forward until you find the break.

The lights that others can spot you ( back, top, nose ) .

Hello bandicoot,
If the lights forward are not working I assume that is two lights, one green and one red both not working. Sometimes the light socket on the pullout gets corroded so that may be a good start to check. You could purchase a small inexpensive meter to check for voltage on the socket and work back through the boat until you find voltage on those wires. If the stern light is working I would guess the fuse is ok as in my experience the nav lights are fused together.
Let’s know how you get on. Regards, Trevor
