I was caught out in a wind a few weeks ago and had to furl the genoa quickly whilst it was flapping. This is not unusual in SW Ireland- especially when short handed. I noticed that it was difficult to furl the sail and subsequently it has been impossible to deploy or furl. I have not had enough light wind ot try and completley unravel it on the mooring( again -not unusual here) but I now notice that the drum at the top of the furler is rotating off centre. Is this eccentric rotation normal or has the drum bearing or bush come adrift? I could have stepped on this drum by mistake as I was up the mast repairing the windex a coulpe of days before the furling problems. I can't be sure about this however it could be the case- are these furlers this delicate? Regards,
