Need to replace my lazy jack lines on 409, anyone done this? What line to use? Lengths? We bought a 100m roll of 6mm braided because we had no idea about lengths. Didn't use 1/3 of it, but a roll of 6mm always comes in handy. HTH

Thank you for the reply, what type of line did you buy?

You will want a soft line - to reduce any chafing of the sail - and a line with some stretch ability - to reduce adjusting when you alter mainsail trim. The line from " technic voile" who are a jeanneau sail supplier is actually a flat 3/8" webbing which has served us well for over 10 years.

Hi, I recently replaced one of mine on my 2016 JSO 419 as for some reason it broke whilst out sailing one day. I used 6mm Liros Lazy Jack Rope in silver from Force 4 Chandlery in the UK www.force4.co.uk/search?query=+Lazy+Jack+rope The lengths as follows in attachment, hope this helps.

Likewise. lazy jack liros. It needs to stretch, especially with my random mainsail dropping in a sudden blow........

One small tip (in case you're not already done it) is to set up snap links where the lines attach to the bag. Really nice to deal with compared to knots. We use the Wichard (cannot find now) equiv. to these.
