12 hours to go, and we take delivery of Full Circle in Burnham On Crouch. Absolutely tons of work to be done in 2 to 3 weeks, will be photographing the boat on the road as well as being craned off the trailer. Will post photos on the main Jeanneau Owners site when I have the time! It will be a shame to empty my study of all the chandlery and equipment we have bought in the last six months. Hurrah for E-Bay, YBW and other Internet sites, my last totted up savings over list prices was over 3 grand! ;D Like others here, this is our first new boat, and it is daunting, especially as the yard have yet to reply to my request for quotation rather than just letting them do it and charge me later. Dealers Clarke & Carter have been good so far.....

So Jim, how are things going - did the boat arrive as promised?
I'm sure a lot of people on the forum would be interested in the deals you have managed to get on the gear for the boat. £3,000 savings is pretty impressive!

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Yes the boat arrived, and I have sent a couple of shots to webcrew to put on the owners site. All OK so far, and the only mistake I have to own up to is that I didnt order the spinnaker kit, which means I only have one coachroof winch. Doh! They have quoted me 470 quid for a Harken 32 ST, but i think I can buy a pair of Antal 32s for that money and sell the other 32ST. They have changed the Binnacle Instrument pod, but it all still fits, just, and I have had to redesign the transom mount radar tower slightly. A couple of small joinery fit howlers is all I can find so far, which I consider to be excellent. However there is lots of exposed endgrain on all floorboards and the supporting ply crossmembers. This will be varnished before anything gets wet. The only design issue is that in the main saloon hanging locker they have floored it out with headlining/foam backed material, which will get wet when the boat heels with bilge water in it. As this is my wet locker, I will be ripping it out, and also fitting a 'Y' diverter in the Heads/Shower heater outlet pipe to dry stuff. All the fire equipment is goin in tomorrow, and then we rip out the cockpit locker floor (port side) on moday to triple the size of the locker, and fit the generator. Very pleased so far.

Hi Malcolm, yes the bow roller is standard. They have been evolving the design in other areas too. The engine controls are now set into the coaming with clear polycarbonate latching, hinged cover which is much better than the previous place. The instrument binnacle is also changed in shape, and made deeper at the back so you don't have to space instruments off to clear the cables behind. The new shap, which appears smaller than the previous will hold:- JRC1800 Radar/Chartplotter, ST4000 Wheelpilot, Navman3100, Wind, Depth and Log. Beware: If you order the Eberspacher, it makes a complete nonsense of the Port cockpit locker. I am having the yard deconstruct this abortion to give me back all the wasted space under the cokpit locker floor. This will give me approx 1m extra depth, and 300mm extra space going aft, and 200 mm outboard, a volume increase of 3 fold over current. I have also installed extra lighting over the cooker, and in the huge locker aft of the heads/shower. I am also installing the extra 12v sockets for the H/H VHFs and the laptop. Other than that, I am like a dog with 2 appendages

Malcolm
I had my Eberspacher fitted in the UK and the local dealer managed to fit the unit in the transom which meant that I lost no Port hand locker space and also got a 4th outlet in the heads which means that its great for trying towels and oilies.

Was your Eberspacher fitted to a SO35 Nobbie? And how much weight did it add to the boat? Thinking of getting one for an SF35 - should shut my crew up!

Tim, I havent the first clue, as the system (Webasto) was fitted at factory. Not that I would care anyway, as I have forsaken all my racing tendancies. Give me another 50 fathoms of chain please, my bow isn't heavy enough. In fact, the waterline antifouling is 3 inches clear of the water at the moment. Must think of a way to redress this with extra kit.
