Hi guys, just buying in gear for the new season. I’m getting a tension gauge for the rigging, but I don’t know the cable gauges/diameters. I have a standard 2001 43 DS but it’s 1000 miles away! Does anyone know the standard rigging cable sizes? Much appreciated Joe :-) & a happy new season to all.

Have you got the 'Manuel Proprietere' - it lists the wire sizes and they range from 7-10mm. I'll see if I can attach it here. Rob 'Mariposa'

Worth setting a shroud or stay via the Selden folding rule method (see their ‘hints and tips’ from their web site) to double check your new rigging tension gauge, some are quite good, some rather a long way off, …… the actual reading off a properly stretched cable will tell you how close or not the gauge is, and a gauge that reads with error is still useful , as long as you know it’s error (if any) as you can allow for it.
