Just investigating a very odd saltwater ingress. Tiny amount (2 tablespoons?) and only seems to happen when heeled over sailing…. but the most bizarre element is where is goes. There’s a tiny pocket in the forrad cabin bilge , port side, (see pic) and how saltwater is getting there is a mystery. Originally thought this was a shower / pump issues but cannot recreate leak however much I try that way, and it’s definitely salty. So I need to remove the (slightly) water damaged 1/4 round panel, forming part of the wall to the forrad heads. The water is coming from under there. Does anyone know if this is NOT possible before I start dissembling the fixtures and fittings!! Looks like a lot of work :-( Many thanks Joe (Sandpiper)

Hi Joe, There have been earlier reports of there being leaks where the pullpit is bolted to the deck. I doubt it is the port-hole in fwd cabin.
Not sure if you use it but for small leaks the Capt Tolley Creeping Crack Cure is excellent. Saves dismantling all sorts of stuff. If you do not know the product have a look at .

just a random thought, but have you checked the base of the stanchions? or maybe deck to hull bond on that area?
cheers
