Q: How is your aft head set up to prevent the glass shower door and the metal handle from hitting each other? Ours came from the previous owner with a small parts bag on the handle.

I tried to put a small rubber sticker on the door handle to cushion the blow but it kept slipping off.
Problem solved itself when I added a hook to hold a towel and wet gear the the back of the door- the towel cushioned the doors from hitting each other.

I used one of those round soft pads that you put under the feet of chairs to stop them making the floor. I stuck it on the shower door, not on the door handle.

As an aside about a year after buying our boat the shower door fell off narrowly missing my toes.
An easy job to re-install in a way that is more secure but I would suggest you check, if you value your toes, the screws for security when you can.

I use a bungee to keep the door from moving.
