Main door latch broke on Merry Fisher 855. Repair advice?

Went to unlock main cabin door latch and noticed the door was only loosely closed by the latch. Somehow the metal “grabbers” inside the latch are out of alignment, with the bottom one no longer moving. Has anyone seen this before? Any advice on how to repair? I see no obvious way to take out the latch mechanism.
