I own a 1999 Jeanneau 40 SO which is equipped with an Amiot main sheet traveler system.
The aluminum body of the traveler car has begun to part/crack where the main sheet block is pinned to the car. I dont want to replace the track, so I am searching for a car with 1 toggle and 4 control line sheaves to fit the “beam” type of track (32mm). I can adapt to a car with 2 control line sheaves if necessary. Can anyone recommend a Goiot, Harken, or other car replacement that will fit the 32 mm beam track?

Take a look at Garhauer, too. Their web site should have all the specs. I was looking at a Garhauer replacement for my entire Amiot traveler assembly until I solved the line-binding problem by relocating the cam cleats to the cabintop.

I don't have THAT One, I have the small version. You will need to change the track I believe to a Harken track. At least the harken did not fit my old Amiot track on my Arcadia.
Do like a lot of us do, change out brands to something that has current parts available. Everything is a bolt on and off issue. Ie real simple.

I replaced it with a Garhauer traveller. I sent the old Goiot traveller to them and they matched the thru holes perfectly. I also extended the traveller a bit longer. I love it. It’s one Thousand times better and a great piece of marine hardware. They make great stuff. A few other Jeanneau owners have replaced their goiot traveller with Garhauer in the past. Search the archives here.

Shortly after acquiring our 2000 SO40 (2012), I ordered and installed a new custom traveler from Garhauer. It's 1.5m long, a 50% increase from the awful, inadequate Amiot that it replaced. I sent the Amiot beam to Garhauer and they matched the mounting holes, so the installation was trivial. This will be our 12th season with the Garhauer and we could not be happier. --Karl
